The prolific JAKE NAVA continues to break new ground at the intersection of pop culture and storytelling with iconic work for brands. Few directors bring such integrity and authenticity to crowd-pleasing, energetic and persuasive commercial work. His style-plus-substance approach has distinguished work for Tanqueray, Bacardi, Puma, Pepsi, and HSBC. Nava has created award-winning and career-defining visuals for Beyoncé, with whom he has collaborated for over a decade, directing such defining videos as ‘Single Ladies’ and ‘Partition’ and most recently collaborating on her film for Disney+ ‘Black Is King’. A few other notable musicians Nava has directed videos for include Adele, Kanye West, Lana Del Rey, Alicia Keys, and the Arctic Monkeys. In fashion and beauty — seamlessly combining sound and image — Nava has built an impressive portfolio with campaigns for Armani, Revlon, CoverGirl, Maybelline, Rimmel, Levi’s and Balmain. Nava’s work has been highly awarded with honors including: MTV VMA Best Female Video & Best R&B Video; UKMVA Video of the Year; Best International Video, MuchMusic Awards; Most Earthshattering Collaboration MTV VMA; Best Collaboration Award MTV VMAs Japan; Outstanding Music Video, NAACP Awards; and MTV VMA Best Choreography. His highly successful, anti-gun campaign, to reduce inner-city gun crime in London, reached over 90% of its target audience and received three D&AD nominations.
